“A Heartfelt Reminder to Trust and Obey!”
By Richard Allen – November 4, 2024
Seeing that tomorrow is Election Day for most Americans, I thought I’d write a Blog this week to encourage God’s People to Trust and Obey – even in the midst of injustice and uncertainty! The reason why I say it’s Election Day for most People is – the Leadership in the Democrat Party considers it Election Week – or in some cases, Election Month! In close elections like 2020 – there was rampant cheating – as there will be in 2024. Unless the margin is huge, the Election will Not Be Decided until days or even weeks afterward. The only reason a rational thinker might believe that Democrat State Machines Can’t Count The Vote in a reasonable time – is because The Democrats Need Time To Adjust The Outcome (i.e. Cheat!).
I am fully aware of the polls showing Trump with a substantial lead in most “swing states” – even with considerable over-sampling of Democrat voters. Couple that with the Fact that Kamala Harris is the worst Candidate to run for the highest office in the land in my lifetime – and possibly in all of American History. She is the ultimate sock puppet controlled by the Deep State. She personally has “no ideas, no policies, no virtues and no record on which to run.” She is by any set of measures, the most politically unattractive candidate to ever run! Add the demonstrable fact that she’s not able to talk, campaign, inspire, be interviewed or even laugh without sounding phony and insincere – and you see the dilemma the Democrat Party is in. It’s too late to back out, she’s the horse they’ve brought to the race, and they are completely stuck with her. Mind you, they have enough rigging set up between ballot harvesting, ballot destruction, drop box stuffing and fixing the count through voting machines, to give her an astounding victory like Joe’s with 81,000,000 Votes! But that won’t pass the smell test. By the time Tuesday, November 5 comes around, they will no doubt have another “November surprise” in play – trying to skuttle the Trump election juggernaut.
And even if Trump wins a resounding victory by a wide margin, there is a very good chance that we’ll see “America in Flames during the Christmas Season,” a Real Insurrection! Most of my readers know that the Deep State – that is the RINO Republicans and Democrats who are fully vested in “preventing another Donald Trump Presidency,” do so for some very compelling reasons – and saving Democracy is Not one of them! No, they do so because they have been bribed and blackmailed by Global political-financial operatives who stand to gain “the whole world” if they keep Trump from the Presidency. But there is a second reason that is even more compelling: “If Trump wins, many of them will lose everything and possibly go to jail!” We are talking about Global Elites who have broken laws, lied, perjured themselves, had sexual relations with, and trafficked children across a global network. Worst of all, they sold their souls to the Devil in the process. A newly elected President Trump is a “Real and Present Danger” to them and their cohorts! That’s enough for the doom and gloom. I’m not trying to over or understate all of the shenanigans going on – there are too many to list. But I would be remiss if I failed to give the People of God the real story: “God’s got this!”
Let me first mention that this phrase: “God’s got this!” is not just wishful thinking – but rather the experience of faithful believers throughout this age – who have remained steadfast under trials and persecution. I first heard it in a sermon from a visiting Irish Pastor three years ago. Then, during my wife Cathy’s heart surgery in 2021 – my Editor gave my wife a T-Shirt with that phrase. She wore it to the Hospital as a sign of faith. I think it helped keep our eyes fixed on God and His care instead of worrying about the outcome. The surgery went very well, and ever since, this phrase holds a purposeful meaning for us. So, even if God grants us a reprieve and gives us a principled (not perfect) leader, we’ll eventually have full-scale persecution of God’s People across this great land. Such persecution was the lot of the Hebrew Christians that were admonished by the writer to the Hebrews in Chapter 13:5-6.
“Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’ So we can confidently say, ‘The Lord is my helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?’ “
It’s quite amazing what this inspired writer packs into these two verses. He is actually quoting from Joshua 1:5, Psalm 37:25 and Psalm 118:6 in rapid succession. In each of these three portions of Scripture, God is encouraging His People toward steadfast faith and courage in the face of great warfare and trials. First, God encourages Joshua as he prepares the conquest of the Promised Land by telling him in Joshua 1:5 – “I will never leave you or forsake you.” Even more, he alludes to Psalm 3:25 where the Psalmist says: “I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken or his children begging for bread.” Then to finish his encouragement, he quotes Psalm 118:6 where the Psalmist says: “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” These are relevant verses that should encourage every one of us. There’s a lot to grasp here, first, the writer to the Hebrews recognizes our worry for money and the things it buys. Many of us are fearful for the U.S. Economy and whether we’ll be able to put food on the table. To that, we are told to be content with what we have. Covetousness has become a national hobby for many Americans. But you might say, “I just need to feed my children and take care of my family.” To this, Psalm 37:25 tells us – God will not allow the righteous to be forsaken or their children to beg for bread! “God’s got this!”
Mature believers know that we are not promised peace and prosperity with two chickens in every pot, and certainly not all the perks of modern life – including smartphones and fancy electronics. The Church has lived through many hard times – starting out with persecution in the first century – first from unbelieving Jews, and then later by a Pagan Roman Culture that dominated the whole world. History records many faithful believers in Jesus Christ as being persecuted and even put to death. I know it’s not a popular subject, the Modern Church has been lulled to sleep by so-called interpreters of prophecy who promise that the “Church will escape tribulation and won’t suffer for Christ’s sake.” That just isn’t true. So, the inspired writer to the Hebrews brings it into focus asking: “What can man do to me?”
We are not promised “skies always blue or flower-strewn pathways – all our lives through, "as poet Annie Johnson Flint has wonderfully written in her poem: “What God has promised.” Even our Lord told us: “In this world you will have tribulation, but take heart, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). This election cycle is Not beyond God’s foresight or control. He knows even if a sparrow falls to the earth – He also knows how many hairs we have on our heads! “God’s got this,” we don’t have to “Fret over evildoers” (Psalm 37:1). And even if we witness a coming “civil war” in the streets where we live, God is still in control. I’m not trying to foment a riot, far from it. We are to be “peacemakers,” for they shall inherit the earth. I do fear there are Radical Forces being prepped to cause mayhem and violence – whether Trump wins or loses. And this violence serves a purpose – to destabilize the country and consolidate the control of these Radical Forces. And make no mistake, they know who their real enemy is: “The People of God.” Nowhere are Believers promised that they are immune from trials, tribulation and persecution. The exact opposite is what the writer to the Hebrews taught these believers in Hebrews Chapter 11 – “Faith’s Hall of Fame!” The believers in that Chapter were commended for their faith and endurance in tough times. Here’s how that wonderful chapter ended:
“And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets – who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. Women received back their dead by resurrection. Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life. Others suffered mocking and flogging, and even chains and imprisonment. They were stoned, they were sawn in two, they were killed with the sword. They went about in skins of sheep and goats, destitute, afflicted, mistreated – of whom the world was not worthy – wandering about in deserts and mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth” (Hebrews 11:32-38).
In closing let me encourage everyone, whether Trump wins or loses, our Peace doesn’t depend upon the governments of this world. We can be confident of two things: 1.) “Evil men and seducers will continue to wax worse and worse” (2 Timothy 3:13-17) and 2.) God will Never Leave or Forsake Us! We are way more important to Him than the struggles of sinful men and women, trying to “save themselves through government!” If righteousness does come back to the land, it will be because we are faithfully preaching the gospel to the lost. Then those transformed sinners will be “salt and light” to a dying world around them. Don’t get me wrong, voting for what is “noble, just and good” is also acting as “salt and light.” But ultimately, ”no one is saved by ‘Making America Great Again’ – unless that Greatness is accompanied by Godly righteousness and personal obedience to Him, who is the rightful King of the Universe!” As obedient Christians, committed to righteousness, we need to vote for the “right” but also to be “salt and light,” pointing the way to God!
Soli Deo Gloria!
Nice article, encouraging. I strongly believe that the odd outcome of the 2020 election was also God-ordained, as a form of judgment against the USA "church", which has become quite lukewarm, apostate, and Bible-ignorant. Seems like we have been witnessing Deut. 28:15-63 (curses for disobedience) come to life these past several years. I see that I'm not the only one who doesn't think that Paul necessarily wrote Hebrews. I often wonder if perhaps it was Apollos. Nice article, thank you.
1These are the commandments and statutes and ordinances that the LORD your God has instructed me to teach you to follow in the land that you are about to enter and possess, 2so that you and your children and grandchildren may fear the LORD your God all the days of your lives by keeping all His statutes and commandments that I give you, and so that your days may be prolonged. 3Hear, O Israel, and be careful to observe them, so that you may prosper and multiply greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has promised you.
4Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is One.a 5And…
