Bribed, Blackmailed & Brainwashed – Part 10

You’re probably wondering what loving yourself has to do with The New World Order? Let me answer your question: The New World Order is not only confident, but has hard-wired the outcomes of their globalist designs by preying on man’s most foundational weakness: He’s Madly in Love with Himself!” And that is not a deliberate exaggeration to pique your interest. The means by which the Global Elite rule, plot and plan the roll-out of The New World Order is simple: The Men, Women and Organizations they corrupt are all filled with sinful humans who are singularly devoted to a Love of Themselves! This goes well beyond just buying everyone off with money, they promise much more: Go along with the coming Global Ruling Structure and you’ll be accepted, loved, successfully employed and considered progressive and smart. The Apostle Paul, writing to his protege, Timothy provided two warning passages in his Pastoral Letters about the Last Days, which we’ve been in since the Resurrection of Jesus (Hebrews 1:2; I John 2:18). So, we’d do well to heed them:
“Now the Spirit expressly says that in the last days some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared, who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is made holy by the word of God and prayer. If you put these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed. Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness ” (1 Timothy 4:1-7).
“But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving the good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth” (2 Timothy 3:1-7).
While many Evangelicals extend great effort trying to “discern the signs of the times,” always looking for the “Mark of the Beast,” or questioning “who is the Antichrist or False Prophet,” it’s ironic that Paul doesn’t spend one minute following “irreverent, silly myths” (1 Timothy 4:7), but rather addresses the real problems that plague the Church and Mankind – False Teachers spreading the “teaching of demons,” and men consumed with “Self-Love.” So, this is where we will spend our time in this week’s Blog – where the Spirit of God is calling the faithful to “trust and obey.”
You may ask, “So, what’s wrong with Self-Love?” Don’t Psychologists tell us that Self-Love is healthy and a sign of being emotionally balanced and comfortable in your own skin? Aren’t people who fail to ”Love Themselves” troubled with many mental, emotional and relational problems? Here’s the definition of Self-Love that modern Educators and Psychologists have schooled several generations of young minds to believe:
“Self-love is accepting yourself wholeheartedly, treating yourself with kindness, and prioritizing your health. There are many ways to practice self-love – such as setting boundaries and celebrating your achievements. Without trying to come off completely negative, there are some valid points made by this article, and the author does try to differentiate between Self-Love (healthy) and Narcissism (not healthy). But the main premise that we don’t love ourselves enough, is wrong. Making ourselves number one will not help us care more, or be better at relating to others. To be sure, Scripture assumes that men and women care for and love themselves – but always calls us to a higher calling: “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:31). While Self-Love is not inherently wrong, as fallen sinners we are tempted to an inordinate love of self above all others.
This is where the problem is, so God’s Word gives us a better perspective. Being focused on Self-Love is not the path to a healthy mind, emotions, thought life or relationships. The Love of Self above all others is at the root of all sin and misery in the human race. As a way of life, Self-Love is not healthy, it’s a driving force that keeps us focused on ourselves – and not on God or our Neighbor. Fact is, mankind’s preoccupation with Self-Love is the guarantee Love is the guarantee which The New World Order counts on, to consummate a “One-World-Government,” which is a world system that will ultimately “love and serve the creature rather than the creator” (Romans 1:25). In the previous nine Blogs in this Series: Bribed, Blackmailed & Brainwashed – we have described the many avenues that The New World Order is perusing to accomplish total control over everyone on planet earth. You might think, this endeavor is too big an undertaking, one that is fraught with obstacles and almost impossible to accomplish – except, they can always count on men and women pursuing their own interests at the expense of everyone else!
The Apostle Paul’s teaching to Timothy perfectly describes our “present evil age,” it’s almost like Paul was reciting the News Broadcast on any TV the world over. His first diagnosis is “lovers of self,” but what follows that condition is exactly what consumes our behavior in all parts of life: Our Finances and Self-Pride leads to Arrogance and Abuse. Children display the same faulty behavior in Disobeying their parents – Ungrateful, Unholy, Heartless, Unappeasable, Speaking Slanderously of others and lacking all Self-Control. And it’s not just Sins of Commission, it’s also Sins of Omission, that is, a failure to exhibit the righteous behavior we should – we Don’t Love the Good. We’re Treacherous, and Puffed up with Conceit. Then Paul tells us that we are Lovers of Pleasure more than Lovers of God. But all of our being has been so ruined by sin – that even when we’re at our Religious Best, we can only display the Appearance of Godliness – but resist the real Power behind Godliness: A Changed Life!
We don’t issue righteous judgments about anything, but rather judge according to the flesh, based on the standards of a fallen world. Men and women who do not “walk by the Spirit,” are only capable of walking according to the flesh. No wonder that one day men and women will give their power to the Beast, and marvel: “Who is like the Beast?” (Revelation 13:4). Let me contend that this inordinate “love of self” is the foundation upon which all other sins are built. Our first parents’ temptation and subsequent fall was all predicated upon something that would delight and benefit themselves – at the expense of paying rightful homage and worship to God:
“Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden?’ And the woman said to the serpent, ‘We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, but God said, You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’ But the serpent said to the woman, ‘You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.’ So, when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths “ (Genesis 3:1-7).
It's hard to miss the motivation of Self-Love described in these verses. Everything that Adam and Eve did was to “pleasure and improve themselves, and to make them wise and to be like God!” The other idea that jumps out is, They Did This Before The Fall! Theologians explain this teaching, that Adam and Eve – while in a “state of innocence” were – yet creatures that were Mutable, that is, Changeable and not Eternal. Their State of Innocence was not an inherent and permanent quality, as they were not like the eternal, unchangeable God (1 Timothy 1:17). Rather, human beings – just like the Angel Lucifer and the Angels who fell – were Mutable! If created beings like Adam and Eve – in their “pre-fallen state” were subject to temptation, deceit and a fall from grace, it’s not hard to grasp what happened to them after the Fall. Self-Love drove them to “hide from the face of an Omniscient God,” sew fig leaves together to cover the guilt and shame of their nakedness. Even their “cover-up” after the Fall was motivated by Self-Love. Strange, but we never hear them apologize to God, no, they only confess their feelings of shame and fear that drove them to hide and cover. Again, even in their hiding and covering – Self-Love was their sole motivation.
It should be no wonder that today, almost 7,000 years later – the posterity of Adam and Eve are ready to sell out their personal well-being, family or country – if it’s desirable, or makes them appear to be wise. This is how The New World Order operates so effectively! It might be easy to say they’re brainwashed, in truth, they are all too willing to submit out of Love to Self! As I close, my prayer for the country in which we sojourn, and especially the Church of Jesus Christ, is that we would be men and women of “principle,” and strive to stand for the truth – even when it’s costly. The only way not to fall prey to the schemes of The New World Order, is to be a man or woman of principle, who loves in the way the Bible teaches:
“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance” (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).
